Casa Masó

Guided Visit to Casa Masó

Casa Masó is the birthplace of Rafael Masó (1880-1935), one of the most important works of architecture and the only one of the famous houses along the Onyar river in Girona which is open to the public. The house has been preserved with the furniture and decoration of the Noucentista period, and it also offers some unique views of the city.

Casa Masó as it stands today, is the result of the successive amalgamation of four houses which were acquired by the family between the mid-19th and early 20th centuries, and its current appearance is similar to what it was like after the last set of alterations made by Rafael Masó in 1919. Since 2006 the house has been owned by Girona City Council and is managed by the Rafael Masó Foundation.
