Coinciding with the commemoration of the 2,100th anniversary of the founding of Girona, this exhibition explains the urban development of the modern city from the mid-19th century to the present, looking towards the future and presenting the current plans for renewal and growth for the coming decades. The exhibition includes around one hundred original plans, historical documents, drawings, photographs and reproductions which, on the one hand, show the main urban planning schemes of Girona since the demolition of the city walls and, on the other, the specific projects that have shaped the creation and character of several neighbourhoods and sectors: La Devesa, the banks of the Ter and Domeny, the market gardens of Santa Eugènia, the Archaeological Promenade, the Barri Vell (Old Town), the valley of Sant Daniel, Les Pedreres, Sant Narcís, Mercadal, Migdia Park and the Rafael Masó Central Park. The exhibition concludes with the presentation of the most recent projects, such as the ecological connectivity plan and those for areas including the Barcelona Road sector and the new Josep Trueta Health Campus, among others.

Open Tuesday to Saturday, from 10.30am to 6pm (closed on bank holidays).
