Award Ceremony of the Photography Contest on Modernista and Noucentista Industrial Architecture

Here you can see the award-winning photographs

Coinciding with the exhibition “Masó. Industrial Architecture”, the Rafael Masó Foundation, in collaboration with the Girona Photography Association (AGFA), organized last April a photography contest focused on Modernista and Noucentista industrial architecture in various locations in Girona and the surrounding area. The photographs could depict either the exterior or the interior of any of the following buildings:

1. Berenguer Hydroelectric Power Plant, by Joan Roca Pinet, Bescanó.
2. Pagans Factory, by Isidre Bosch Batallé, Celrà.
3. Vinyals Hydroelectric Power Plant, by Rafael Masó, Flaçà.
4. Gerunda Distilleries, by Enric Catà, Girona.
5. Regàs Distilleries (currently the Pont Major Civic Centre), by Enric Catà, Girona.
6. La Montserrat Flour Mill (currently the Municipal School of Music), by Rafael Masó, Girona.
7. Teixidor Flour Mill, by Rafael Masó, Girona.

The contest jury, made up of two representatives from the Rafael Masó Foundation and two from the Girona Photography Association (AGFA), decided to award the following prizes:

General View Photography
1st prize: not awarded.
2nd prize: Mònica Martinoy.
3rd prize: Xavier Bussé.

Detail Photography
1st prize: not awarded.
2nd prize: Lara Peran.
3rd prize: Adela Martín.

The award ceremony took place at Casa Masó on October 28.
