The College of Technical Architecture of Girona presents the new educational project "Becoming Master Builders"

One of the educational resources in the project is dedicated to Noucentisme and has been developed in collaboration with the Rafael Masó Foundation.

This educational project offers a practical approach to the study of architecture and construction, aiming to introduce both professions while students explore other topics related to history or art history. The project’s goal is to bring Secondary Education students closer to the subject of Technology and Digitalization. In addition, it can be adapted for post-compulsory courses such as Vocational Training in Building, Arts and Design, and Baccalaureate programs. The project provides an opportunity to explore the relationship between technology and architecture, allowing students to discover the history and local culture of Girona within a multidisciplinary framework. This will not only enrich their technical knowledge but also foster a deeper understanding of their environment.

The educational resource dedicated to Noucentisme focuses on the “materials” block and explores architecture, technical architecture, and early 20th-century artisans within the context of Noucentisme and the work of Rafael Masó in Girona. This period is rich in significant buildings that, unfortunately, are not well known among younger generations. The materials explored in this educational resource include ceramics, wrought iron, stained glass, and stone.
