It is a gift from Albert Rossich, Professor Emeritus of Catalan Philology at the University of Girona

Albert Rossich, Professor Emeritus of Catalan Philology at the University of Girona, has donated a copy of the announcement offering the new home of the married couple Rafael Masó and Esperança Bru to the Rafael Masó Foundation. Following their wedding and honeymoon (January-March 1912), throughout the spring, summer, and autumn of 1912, Rafael Masó and Esperança Bru moved into and adapted their new residence on the Santa Eugènia road in Girona. Consequently, in November, the architect designed invitations to present their new home to family and friends.

These printed items consist of a series of sheets folded in half with the same text printed inside, but featuring various geometric decorations stenciled in color on the outside. In this way, Masó emphasized the personalized nature of the offering while foreshadowing his aesthetics dominated by geometry and handcrafted taste. Inside the announcement, it reads: "Commend to the Lord that Charity and / Peace may be in the dwelling of the new Spouses / Raphael Masó Arch[itec]t and Esperança Brú / the doors of which are opened to you / as a token of firm / friendship. / Gerona Nov 1912 / C. de Sta Eugenia 5 - 2nd".

The document donated by Professor Rossich to the Foundation is preserved with its original envelope, which reveals it was addressed to Gabriel Garcia, a priest who was director of the Orfeó Catalunya in Cassà de la Selva. In 1904, Masó had designed the banner for the Orfeó Catalunya of Cassà de la Selva, which explains their ongoing connection.
