Bedrooms on the second floor

On the landing of the second floor there are two drawings on display attributed to Francisco de Goya and others by Marià Salvador Maella, Eugenio Lucas and Vicente López, among others. Most of the bedrooms in the house are located on this floor. The first one, at the top of the stairs, is a bedroom containing 19th century furniture. Next, in the double room which belonged to Maria de la B. Masó and her husband Estanislau Aragó, a set of furniture that includes a bed, two wardrobes, a bedside table and two chairs can be seen. They were designed by Rafael Masó in 1920 to mark the marriage of the couple, for their home on the second floor of Casa Salieti in Ciutadans Street. They were later brought to Casa Masó when they moved there in 1960. Finally, in Paula Masó’s room, the furniture belongs to a series which Masó had designed for the Women’s Institute in 1922. A wood engraving by Francesc Canyellas and a caricature by Masó of his sister Paula are also displayed here.
