In 1911-1912 Masó refurbished the main entrance of the house with the intention of enhancing the image and prestige of his family by linking it to the tradition of a bygone Girona, and so he combined elements from history itself (heraldic shields of the tiled dado), from religion (relief of Sant Narcís and the Santa Paula panel) and from the vernacular architecture (half-point arches, wrought iron, glazed ceramics and stone).
